ABOUT MEGAN

1 of 2

I love animals. I love coffee. I firmly believe Schitt’s Creek is a coping mechanism. I also have an unconditional belief in the clients that I see. I believe that if you want change in your life, you have the power to change. If you want to grow into a better version, you’re in control of that. I want all of my clients to see that they are worthy of love and connection. I want my clients to learn the difference between safety and danger, and how to limit the story we tell ourselves when we believe we are in danger. I find opportunities to practice vulnerability, expand tolerance for discomfort, and connect the mind and body. I’m right there doing the work with you (and sometimes, so are my cats.)

Meet the Therapist & CEO of Catalyst

Hi! I'm Megan.

2 of 2

You’ll likely find me with a cup of coffee in my hand. Sometimes I wear gym clothes to session - because I believe working out is an important part of taking care of ourselves, and sometimes I have to run out the door to get myself there.
I show up to session as the most authentic version of myself. Because you deserve that. I do my best therapist work when I’m able to be true to who I am. I’m fully human - who makes mistakes and goes through shit, and has to process and do the work - just like you. I’m a therapist in therapy and I believe it is crucial for you have a space that you feel free to be (or find) your authentic self, too.

AUTHENTICITY

I Value..

This is where you see the change you're looking for. Growing, trusting in yourself, more flexibility, a larger window of tolerance

HEAL

This is the response, the emotional regulation - processing, digging, creating, supporting. We work with the emotions to understand them better

DEAL

Feeling our feelings - naming them, observing, validating, and allowing space for them.

FEEL

Humans don’t like discomfort, and without training ourselves to deal with discomfort - we will do anything to get out of it. We will work on building self-confidence and trust in yourself. Having confidence to say no, feel emotions, connect your mind and body, find your purpose and be able to heal and break free from trauma. We will spend time learning, regulating, and connecting our emotions to FEEL. DEAL. and HEAL.

Discomfort is your biggest opportunity for growth

THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE

Stir Shit Up

When you're ready, let's

READY TO DO THE WORK?

There is no shortcut to healing. But you don’t have to do it alone. At Catalyst, we hold space for real change — the kind that starts when you stop running and decide to do the work.

Through a collaborative and ever-evolving client-centered relationship, I strive to help clients transition through many seasons of life - whether its feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, becoming a new parent, feeling unmotivated and bored with the status quo, dealing with negative consequences, struggling with past trauma, or simply looking to be a better version of yourself. I believe that curiosity and compassion have the power to change our world, and you’ll see that integrated in my style of therapy. We will spend time learning, regulating, and connecting our emotions to FEEL. DEAL. and HEAL. In addition to traditional talk-therapy, we will explore different healing approaches that are specific to your needs. We will explore your goals and challenge your thoughts, while also using humor and somatic practices throughout our time together. While it doesn’t always feel good, I will work with you to explore the root cause of what’s going on and also provide you with education because I believe it’s important for you to understand why this is something worth changing.

My Life's Work and Calling

CR
Client since 2023

I’ve been working with Megan since 2023. Having been through a lot of therapy over the years, I didn’t expect miracles. Therapy is therapy. I believe Megan has made a huge difference, however.. She pushes me to confront the emotions that make me uncomfortable. That discomfort has resulted in a lot of personal growth. Staying in therapy for 2 years is a lifetime achievement.
